An Evening With Chef Kwame Owuachi
On Wednesday, June 22 at 7:00 pm the Danvers Township Library will be hosting an evening with chef Kwame Owuachi. Chef Kwame is a James Beard Award-winning chef born on Long Island and raised in New York City, Nigeria, and Louisiana. He was trained at the Culinary Institute of America and opened five restaurants before turning thirty. Chef Kwame has also been named “Food and Wine’s” Best New Chef 2019 and a 30 Under 30 honoree by both “Zagat” and Forbes”. The evening will consist of chef Kwame speaking about his cookbook “My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef” and the importance of the connections between cuisine, place, and culture.
