Margaret Allen, a 25-year-old resident of Delavan, was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-car crash at the intersection of Illinois Route 122 and Springfield Road on Monday, April 15.

An autopsy performed by the Tazewell County Corner’s office identified the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries as a result of the collision.

The crash was reported to authorities at 11:49 a.m., and first responders from multiple area jurisdictions responded to the call.

A section of Springfield Road, stretching from Illinois Route 122 to E 8TH Street, was closed for several hours on Monday following the collision.

The identity of the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident has not yet been released.

The coroner’s office, Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, and Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate.
