RAVING REVIEW: <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>Abby doesn’t get a moment to prepare for what she’s walking into. The house is already full, the tone already set, and everyone else seems to have agreed on how this gathering is supposed to feel. She’s the only one out of step, which makes the situation uncomfortable in a way that doesn’t need exaggeration.<\/p>\n

The film stays locked into that perspective. It doesn’t explain the premise beyond what’s already there. It doesn’t try to guide the audience toward a reaction. Instead, it lets the imbalance sit there. People talk, laugh, and fill the space, while Abby is still catching up to what’s even happening. That tension between her reality and everyone else’s version of it drives the entire short.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Seal keeps everything contained. There’s frustration, disbelief, and something deeper underneath, but none of it spills out in a way that feels designed for effect. She doesn’t try to match the energy around her, and that decision holds the film together. The more controlled she is, the more the room feels off.<\/p>\n

Across from her, Tovah Feldshuh plays Eudora with absolute conviction. She doesn’t second-guess herself, which makes her harder to push against. The film doesn’t treat her as a source of easy laughs.
