RAVING REVIEW: <\/strong>Are you ready to rock and roll? DAISY JONES & THE SIX is the newest limited series to hit Prime Video, and it's a wild ride from start to finish. This show tells the tale of a 70s rock band's rise and fall, inspired by some of rock ‘n’ roll's most notorious moments. But don't let the familiar plot fool you; this series has much to offer.<\/p>\n

The cast of DAISY JONES & THE SIX makes this entire project work. The two lead singers, played by Riley Keough and Sam Claflin, are particularly impressive. Keough's performance as Daisy Jones is a complex and fascinating character study, full of confidence and vulnerability. And Claflin's Billy Dunne is the ultimate rock star (with a twist), with undeniable stage presence and chemistry with Daisy.<\/p>\n

While Daisy and Billy's relationship is the show's core, the supporting cast is just as noteworthy. Will Harrison and Suki Waterhouse play Graham Dunen and Karen Sirko, the band's backbone, and they do so with style. And Camila Morrone's performance as Camila Dunne adds depth to the band's inner circle. <\/p>\n

But DAISY JONES & THE SIX isn't just about the characters; it's also a love letter to the 70s rock scene. The show is a non-stop party of music, sex, drugs, and drama, all while exploring the music industry's dark side. We’ve seen this story before, but in the mini-series format, it can take a deeper look than films like ALMOST FAMOUSE. The soundtrack is a standout, transporting you back in time with every beat; I was thrilled to see that some of the music from the film has made it over to Spotify (along with a short message from the author of the book the series is based on, Taylor Jenkins Reid.)<\/p>\n

The series does an excellent job of capturing the look and feel of the era with costumes, sets, and music that make you feel like you're right there in the 70s. There isn’t a single frame that takes you out of the experience, all the while without feeling forced. And while the show may be fictional, it feels like a true-to-life portrayal of the music industry.<\/p>\n

Overall, DAISY JONES & THE SIX is a fun and engaging watch, perfect for anyone who loves music or drama. The plot may be something we’ve heard before, but the talented cast and expert crew behind the series make it a must-see. So turn the volume to 11, sit back, and enjoy the show.<\/p>\n
