LGBTQIA+ characters and creatives have been part of the horror genre since its inception. This sexy, shocking, anarchic, unsettling, and very queer collection of short films not only makes the personal political, it makes it terrifying as well.<\/p>\n

RAVING REVIEW: <\/strong>These seven short films share a common thread of strong emotional responses, from anxiety and tension to humor and discomfort. Each film pushes boundaries, explores unconventional narratives, and challenges traditional ideals. These films' distinct styles and engaging storytelling captivate audiences while encouraging introspection and challenging their preconceived notions.<\/p>\n

Gnaw – Rosalee Yagihara<\/span>
\n<\/strong>
\nAn unsettling and anxiety-driven film that leaves viewers longing for more as they become captivated by the story's emotional core.<\/p>\n

Smoking Kills – Dulcinee DeGuere<\/span>
\n<\/strong>
\nA psychedelic exploration of modern-day that shows some parallels that challenge conventional ideals of right and wrong, as well as the age-old battle between good and evil.<\/p>\n

Role Play – Bill Neil<\/span>

Ringing Rocks – Gus Reed<\/span>

\nA slow-paced drama featuring superb acting and an anxiety-inducing atmosphere filled with palpable tension, it feels like you could cut it with a knife.<\/p>\n

Snatched – Michael Schwartz<\/span>

\nFeatured in Hulu's Bite Sized Huluween, this short film delves into the personal struggles of coming out, told through a unique and engaging narrative.<\/p>\n

Violet Butterfield, Makeup Artist for the Dead – Brooke H. Cellars<\/span>

\nA stylish and humorous period piece with potential for expansion, although its similarities to an existing film could be problematic. It would have to lean heavily in a different direction to prevent it from being more than an homage.<\/p>\n

Bitten, a Tragedy – Monika Estrella Negra<\/span>

\nWe get an experimental film with the perfect blend of modern sensibilities, authentic yet awkward encounters, and intentional discomfort, leading viewers down an unexpected and thrilling rabbit hole.<\/p>\n
