RAVING REVIEW: <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>Welcome to Thunderdom… oops, I mean THUNDER IN THE EAST, where the dust of newly independent India sets the stage for a story as explosive as it is poignant. Directed by Charles Vidor, this film stitches together a tale of political unrest and personal metamorphosis, driven by American gunrunner Steve Gibbs and Joan Willoughby, a British expatriate who has a clearer perception of the truth than most.<\/p>\n

As Steve, portrayed by the ever-stoic Alan Ladd, descends into the chaotic province of Ghandahar with his cargo, the narrative takes off at a breakneck pace.
