Harakiri For The Sky - Scorched Earth

Walking into a genre you’ve barely explored is like stepping into a world you’ve never seen—everything feels unfamiliar, yet there’s an undeniable sense of intrigue. That’s how it felt to experience HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY’s latest album, SCORCHED EARTH. My knowledge of metal has been limited primarily to mainstream acts, but this album invited me into a world that’s equal parts unrelenting and deeply emotional.

The Eternal Power of Rock Resonates

Mark Farner - Closer To My Home

CLOSER TO MY HOME is an auditory experience from which I had no clue what to expect. It tells the story of rock virtuoso Mark Farner, whose musical journey is depicted through ten tracks that feel like scenes from his life. Each track is a vignette, etching Farner's ascent from humble beginnings to rock royalty. Farner directs each note with the precision of an orchestra leader, creating an album that plays out as a story come to life with heartfelt narratives and robust rock rhythms.

Sammy Hagar Final Call with Eddie Van Halen

Van Halen passed away in October after a long battle with cancer. Hagar confirms a Van Halen group reunion tour had been in the works, prior to the guitarist’s illness. “Eddie and Al [Alex Van Halen} and Irving Azoff, their manager and my dear friend, we were looking at doing the reunion tour with everybody, which is the way it had to be,” Hagar says, corroborating reports that the tour would have included both himself and David Lee Roth, whom Hager famously replaced in 1985. “I’ve been pushing for that for 10 years,” Hager insists, "Let’s go give the fans the biggest band in the world, you know what I mean?” he says. “You don’t get bigger than Van Halen, and the fans deserve to see it all, hear every song, that would have been wonderful.”

Taylor Swift Reveals Identity of Folklore ’s Mystery Co-Writer

Taylor Swift just spilled a major folklore secret! Since of the release of the superstar singer's eighth studio album in July, fans have wondered about the identity of writer William Bowery, who is credited on two folklore songs. When fans couldn't find out any information about this person online, Swifties became convinced that this mystery co-writer was none other than the Grammy winner's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. Why? Well, it just so happens that the actor is the great-grandson of composer William Alwyn and—as fans may recall—one of Joe and Taylor's first public sightings together was at a Kings of Leon concert at The Bowery Hotel in 2016.

Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ goes viral

After the viral success of Nathan Apodaca’s TikTok video featuring Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” both the social media star and drummer Mick Fleetwood have been talking (separately) about the revival of the 1977 track.

But on Oct. 9, the two finally met virtually on a BBC News broadcast.

“One, we owe you,” Fleetwood said after surprising Apodaca during the newscast. “It’s such a celebration of everything. I’ve heard you talking about it, and it’s so joyous and fun.”

Fleetwood continued, “I just wanna say, outside of Fleetwood Mac, we owe you. It’s such a great story, and so needed. In days that are really challenging…it makes people smile, and I’m so happy to be part of it. Congratulations on a wild, wild skateboard journey that has led us to talking today.”

Apodaca, still getting over the shock, said, “I feel blessed and I appreciate you. It’s just awesome.”

At the end of the chat, Fleetwood hoped that they would one day meet in person saying, “You’re right in my heart.”

Fleetwood recently recreated Apodaca’s chilled out video, which not only went viral itself but also kept “Dreams” at the top of the Billboard charts.
