Danvers Lions Club

The Danvers Lions Club is a community non profit organization in Danvers, that does many different things for the community. The Danvers Lions Club is part of The Lions Club International, which has over 48,000 different clubs all over the world. The main goal of all of these different clubs around the world is to “take action and serve the people in their communities.” The Lions Club International focuses on five global causes, diabetes, vision, hunger, environment, and childhood cancer. The Danvers Lions Club has been working hard to bring positivity into our local communities recently, and there has been a lot of appreciation from community members.

One of the many outstanding impacts that the Danvers Lions Club has recently had on the Danvers community is sponsoring a youth baseball travel team for this summer. The Danvers Lions Club’s generosity has given kids anywhere from nine to twelve years old a great opportunity to play travel summer baseball. A few people from the Danvers Lions baseball team have told me how grateful they are to have the Danvers Lions Club as a sponsor. Coach Ron Stork told me, “The Danvers Lions Club’s sponsorship they gave our team was really important for our team to get proper equipment for the season. It aided us in getting new uniforms, helmets, and other equipment. They really helped us out in a big way.”

This is just one example of the great things The Danvers Lions club has done for their community. There are many other service projects and events that are run by The Danvers Lions Club including donating forty flower baskets to churches in Danvers for this spring. The Danvers Lions Club has been an essential organization for the Danvers community and will continue to be a reliable source of sponsorships, service, and anything else the community could possibly need.
