
William A. Noack Sr.
William A. Noack Sr., 90, formerly of Tremont, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO.
He was born January 5, 1931 in Peoria to Harry J. and Ella P. Keyser Noack Sr. He married Joan Mason September 19, 1953 in Peoria, and she passed away January 23, 2005.
Surviving are his children, Kathy Jo Noack of Jefferson City, MO and Kimberly (Robert) Burk of Salem, MO; one daughter-in-law, Trisha Noack of Eureka; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and one on the way; one brother, Charles (Georgetta) Noack of Peoria Heights; and one sister, Louise (Joe) Wells of Metamora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William Jr. in 2019; one granddaughter, Bobbi Burk in 2000, and two brothers, Robert and Harry.
He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 attaining the rank of Sergeant.
William worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 42 years as a Quality Control Supervisor retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria, and the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rolla, Missouri. He served as a volunteer for Phelps Health and volunteered as a driver and blood donor for the American Red Cross. He was a member of the Lion’s Club, served as a Scoutmaster, served as a foster parent to over 100 children, and enjoyed fishing and traveling.
His funeral will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday and one hour before the service, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
