Barbara Joyce Renner

Barbara Joyce Renner, 86, of Mackinaw passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home. 

She was born June 25, 1935 in Pekin to Raymond “Rusty” and Ada Walkup Hartsock.  She married the love of her life, William “Bill” Renner on July 18, 1953. 

She is survived by daughter, Susan “Sue” Renner of Mackinaw, who resided with her and daughter, Pam Wood of Missouri; son-in-law, Brian Wood of Garland, TX; grandsons, Ryan (Taylor Ohl) Renner of Mackinaw, Dustin Wood of Texas and Joseph (Tejah) Wood of Garland, TX; great grandson, Dawson Ohl of Mackinaw; great granddaughter, Talia Wood of Lima, OH; siblings, Beverly Chin of West Virginia, Wayne (Carolyn) Hartsock of South Carolina, and Darrell (Bonnie) Hartsock of West Virginia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband. 

She retired from CILCO in Peoria. 

Joyce served as the treasurer for the Village of Deer Creek and served on the Lincoln Christian Home Board for over 30 years. 

She was a Godly woman who read her Bible daily.  She enjoyed reading and her passion was taking care of her family and being their “Rock”.  She was so proud of her grandson and his accomplishments in his life. She was a loving wife, mom, homemaker, and grandmother. 

Joyce was a member of New Castle Bible Church in Mackinaw, where her funeral will be at 2:00 pm Friday, January 28, 2022.  Pastor Phil Somers will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.  Burial will be in New Castle Bible Church Cemetery.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
