Margaret A. Greer

Margaret A. Greer, 82, formerly of Mackinaw, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke. 

She was born July 5, 1939 in Peoria to Stanley and Frances Ernst Danielson.  She married Curtis D. Greer on August 28, 1957 in Dunlap, and he passed away July 19, 2014. 

Surviving are her children, Carol Henry of Pekin and Kevin (Laurie) Greer of East Peoria; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Christine Greer and Kimberly Ransdell. 

She was a Member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, its Alter and Rosary Society and various prayer groups. Margaret was a founding member of the Mackinaw Rescue Squad, enjoyed singing and was a member of Hearts Chorus in East Peoria, sang in the Morton Community Chorus, and volunteered at the Common Place in Peoria. 

A funeral mass be at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton .  Msgr. Gerald Ward will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, and one hour before the service, both at the church.  Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.  Haensel-Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw is handling the arrangements.
