April Is Autism Awareness Month
Autism prevalence has increased 178% since 2000.
An estimated 1 out of 37 boys and 1 in 151 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States.
While there is no medical detection or known cure for autism, thousands of children have shown significant improvement resulting from early diagnosis and use of effective interventions.
To help spread Autism awareness in the community, the Mackinaw Police Department is selling a Special Edition of our shoulder patch. The patches are $10 ea. and there is a limited supply.
To pre-order your patch, please send an email to police@mackinawil.gov and include your Name, Phone number, and quantity desired. Or, you can call 309-359-8914 ext: #2 to place an order. You will be contacted once the patches arrive to pickup!
All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go right back to the community and will be donated to Life Skills at Dee-Mack Academy.
