Ryle J. Embree

Ryle James, “RJ”,  Embree, 2, of Tremont, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center PICU in Peoria.

He was born February 19, 2020 in Bellingham, WA to Jordan C. and Leah J. Embree.

Surviving are his parents of Tremont; two brothers, Haddon Christopher Embree and Knox Douglas Embree.

He was preceded in death by his great grandfather and namesake, James Steve Loverink.

RJ was a joyful, content, sweet boy with big blue eyes, spiky blonde hair, and a contagious excitement for life.  He loved Mac and cheese pizza, his big brothers, alligators, cars, the Hulk and Buzz Lightyear.  He was quick witted, often finding humor in his own antics and commenting “funny”.   He loved to cuddle and often had as many as five stuffed animals and two “frankies” (blankies) in tow when possible.  He will be deeply missed.  We are thankful for the two years he blessed each one of us and how God has demonstrated His sovereignty, might, and love through this time.

His funeral will be at 10:30 am Friday, April 1, 2022 at Bethany Community Church in Washington.  Pastor Daniel Bennett will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am Friday at the church.  A gathering of remembrance will be from 5:30 to 7:00 pm Thursday, March 31 at Bethany Community Church in Washington. A private family burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.  Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
