The Irreverent Warriors Silkies Hike will take place on July 4th from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm during the Hopedale 4th of July Celebration. The hike is for veterans, active duty, national guard, and reservists only. The hike intends to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. To create this environment, civilians aren’t allowed on the hike. Tickets are $5 plus a $1.94 fee for hikers if they wish to donate to the cause and free for those who don’t. Donations are open to the public so if anyone wishes to donate they can visit the same site to do so.
