Town-Wide Clean-Up Day
The City of Atlanta, in collaboration with Atlanta Township, is set to provide dumpsters for the community-wide clean-up day on Saturday, May 11.
This service is exclusively for residents of Atlanta City and Township—identification is required. Up to two pickup truck loads per residence are permitted until the dumpsters reach capacity. Each additional load will incur a charge of $25.00. Appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers will be subject to a fee of $7.00 each.
City staff will be on hand to accept your drop-offs from 8 a.m. until noon in the city lot situated between the library and the railroad tracks. Please enter via the temporary street located between the Township Shed and the library, off of Arch Street. When departing, exit onto Race Street. Note that there will be one-way traffic through the dump site.
Please note these restrictions:
- Electronic equipment will not be accepted (including TVs, computers/monitors, printers, etc.).
- No dumping by commercial entities or contractors is allowed (e.g., shingles or siding).
- No yard waste.
- No corn bags. No silage bags.
- No hazardous materials, including paints, oils, antifreeze, insecticides, lawn chemicals, etc.
- No tires or batteries.
- No burn barrels.
The City/Township retains the right to refuse or reject any load.
