Virtual Angel Tree Offers Christmas to Needy

It’s Christmas time! The Olympia High School National Honor Society is sponsoring its annual virtual Angel Tree project. The Spartan Promise Council also works in close conjunction with this event. This Angel Tree gives gifts to middle and high school students in need within the district. Selected students have been given the opportunity to make a list of wants and needs for Christmas. All students have identified both clothing and recreational items.

The community is encouraged to select a student from the link: https://www.olympia.org/page/nhs-angel-tree. Each student is labeled online with an identification number, which needs to be marked on the gift, too. Then, they gather some gifts, wrap the presents, and make a special impact on the child’s Christmas celebration! The presents need to be turned in by Friday, December 17th, so the Spartan Promise Council has plenty of time to deliver them. These can be dropped off at any Olympia school building, Administrative Offices, Waynesville Library, Stanford Library, McLean Bank, or the Hopedale Wellness Center.

Monetary donations are also accepted for the Angel Tree. The National Honor Society will use the money to supplement more gifts to the children and families. Last year, they were able to supply additional gas cards. These checks can be made out to the Spartan Promise Council and sent to Olympia Administrative Offices, 903 East 800 N Road, Stanford. Donations can also be made on the Promise Council Website at https://promisecouncil.org/donate, and then designated to Olympia.

Thank you for supporting our students in the community. Feel free to share this information with others for even more involvement. Currently all the middle school students have already been sponsored, but there are still plenty of high school students looking for a match. Please consider helping out! Olympia really appreciates all this dedication to assisting students in need. Have a joyful holiday season!
