RAVING REVIEW: If you’re unfamiliar with the back story about this black eye on the royal family, you’ll probably learn quite a bit here.

The film points out how ludicrous it is that the late Queen of England’s third child* has managed to avoid charges even though nearly everything points to his guilt. So much of this is due to the money, and power that England’s royalty has. While it’s hard to say that the crown and family are keeping Andrew free from charges, it’s hard to imagine anyone else being so lucky.

While I knew who Andrew was, I didn’t know much about his life or the relatively current accusations that have got him in hot water. I find it ironic after watching this that the royal family had so many issues with Princess Diana. The nonsense that Andrew and his previous wife, Sarah Ferguson, caused makes Diana’s personality seem like no issue.

There is a push currently to have the Duke of York title stripped from Andrew; although the Queen took some mainly ceremonial actions to take his power away, they did little more than point out how he still holds other titles.

Although the film was completed before the death of his mother, he’s only continued to be a stain on the family while insisting on participating in so many public appearances. Sure, innocent until proven guilty, but there could’ve been many other ways to pay his respects and stay out of the public view.

Perhaps the best news is that his longtime friend Ghislaine Maxwell has finally been charged and convicted of conspiring with Epstein. Everything seems to point without question to Andrew’s time being numbered; however, it’ll be interesting to see what happens now that his older broth Charles is in power. Charles has always kind of brushed off questions about the situation.

If you know a lot about the drama of this scandal or have seen other documentaries, this probably won’t add much information, but it was well done and showed Andrew for what he is. At times almost makes him feel sympathetic but then reminds us what the accusations against him are.
