RAVING REVIEW: Welcome aboard the enigmatic flight of MANIFEST, where time bends in mysterious ways, and each character’s fate intertwines with unknown forces. Imagine stepping off a plane to find that while you've been in the air, the world has moved on without you by half a decade. This unsettling revelation kicks off a gripping saga that delves into the realms of the supernatural while wrestling with the human dilemmas of loss, change, and destiny.

At the heart of MANIFEST are the Stone siblings, Ben (Josh Dallas) and Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh.) Their re-entry into a drastically altered reality is the series' emotional core. Michaela, in particular, faces profound challenges as she confronts a life that seems to have slipped beyond her grasp. These personal upheavals are mirrored by mysterious "callings"—cryptic visions that compel the passengers towards actions that seem to have been pre-ordained. These stitch a complex web of intrigue and suspense that draws in shadowy government operatives and cryptic figures.

Young Cal Stone’s (Jack Messina) narrative stands out among the affected passengers. His peculiar insights into the callings make him pivotal to decoding the overarching mystery, with his ordeal adding emotional depth to the series' multifaceted plot. Cal’s journey, marked by medical anomalies and unexpected revelations, drives the story forward and connects deeply with the audience's hearts, underscoring themes of resilience and hope.

Despite its compelling narrative and a fanbase clinging to every twist, MANIFEST met an untimely end on NBC after three seasons, only to be revived on Netflix for a conclusive run. This turnaround is what most shows deserve, allowing the show to sew up its loose ends in a manner befitting its mysterious storyline.

MANIFEST concluded its intricate narrative and cemented its status as a cult phenomenon. The show’s successful migration to streaming platforms underscores the evolving landscape of television consumption, where viewer loyalty and digital campaigns can directly influence the series' lifespan.

While tackling such a deep plot, MANIFEST occasionally skirts the edge of being overly complex, sometimes obscuring its core narrative. Yet, the strong performances by the cast, notably Roxburgh and Dallas, provide a stable anchor for the series' lofty ambitions, ensuring the storyline remains accessible and emotionally resonant.

MANIFEST presents a riveting exploration of redemption and the relentless passage of time, all set against a backdrop of supernatural enigmas. The show merges elements of drama and mystery, leaving a durable impact through bold storytelling and deeply felt character arcs. This is one of those series that you never really know what you think you know until you know for sure (and even then, who knows.)

MANIFEST is a testament to innovation's power within the supernatural drama genre. It invites viewers to ponder life's unpredictabilities and the interconnectedness of fate and free will. The series entertains and provokes thought, leaving a legacy of creative storytelling that ventures deep into the mysteries of existence and human fortitude.
