If you were born in 1990 or before, September 11, 2001, is probably one of the most notable dates in your memory. While there have been terror attacks before and after, this one was an event to remember because so much of it unfolded on live TV in modern times. It’s currently the 11th most deadly event in US history, preceded only by the COVID-19 Pandemic, The US Civil War, The HIV/AIDS Epidemic, The 1918 Flu Pandemic, World War II, World War I, The Vietnam War, The Korean War, The Galveston Hurricane, and The 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fire (according to www.history.com). Remember that four of those didn’t take place on US soil, so technically, it was the 7th most deadly in the US.

This film isn’t about 9/11, though; this is more about something that happened a week later, on 9/18 through 10/12, killing five and infecting 17 others. While, thankfully, the lives lost weren’t anywhere near that of 9/11, the unknown was beyond definition. A week after one of the scariest moments in many people's lives, another hidden attacker came from nowhere. The US wasn’t prepared for an attack like this, and thus there are still many unknowns about the case.

This film itself is a unique blend of documentary and live-action recreation. I was assuming it would be a pretty standard documentary on the subject, so when I saw Clark Gregg (THE AVENGERS, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE) pop up, I assumed (wrong) that he would be narrating the film. Instead, he acted as a visual reference to the story being told. It was an interesting take that ended up working well. Initially, I questioned Gregg’s involvement because of his recognizable face; however, upon seeing Bruce Edwards Ivins's photos, Gregg was the perfect casting.

I remember the weeks following 9/11 being consumed by reports on the terrorist attacks, and while I remember the panic of the Anthrax attacks, I had no clue the depths that the story went behind it all. This was a genuinely intriguing watch, especially the ending!
