RAVING REVIEW: Sometimes, you won’t do better than the film’s tagline for an article title. About what you’d expect, a by-the-numbers action flick that puts you in the “what would you do” seat. While not entirely original, the film had enough excitement and intrigue to keep you guessing the entirety of the film's run.

I haven’t mentioned this in a while, so I figured it’s due for repeating. I rank films on a five-star scale, from a ½ star ranking to five stars (I can’t do 0 because most sites don’t accept that.) This rating system is scalable easily to a 10-star system as well. If I hate a movie with no redeemable qualities, it gets a ½ star. If I love a film and would be willing to put it in my personal top 250, then it would get a five-star rating. This bugs some people because I put a film I didn’t love or hate right in the middle with a two-and-a-half-star rating.

With that out of the way, this is one of those films. I enjoyed some moments, and the film struggled to keep my attention during others. The biggest knock on it was the dialogue; some extended conversations during the film felt a little forced. As a whole, though, the action in the movie would often make up for it (usually quickly afterward.)

If you’re looking for a contract killer film with some narrative moments that will make you question what you think you know, this is probably the film for you. With some clear nods to modern action films JOHN WICK and even NOBODY, I would’ve liked to have seen more profound scenes with choreography that let the character be a little more “superhuman” like so many of the modern-day movie assassins are.

Paul Sidhu (Smith) plays the main hitman in the film and is pretty much everything you’d expect from a character like this. Some of the simple one-liners and the rabbit chase are fun throughout.
