“Two ultimate Hammer Horror classics, THE MUMMY and FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL, starring British acting royalty, the legendary Peter Cushing in both films and other greats including Christopher Lee and Patrick Troughton receive special limited editions from Second Sight Films.”

Second Sight Films consistently puts out some of the best special editions I’ve seen. The care for detail, unique features, and quality restorations make them stand out. These two classic Hammer films are no exception.

Both bring a unique flair to the classic monsters that star in them; there were so many films featuring The Mummy and Frankenstein’s monster that there needs to be something to draw my interest. The look and feel of these films are darker than the traditional take that so many are used to, and I loved it.

The incredible cast lineup of Peter Cushing, David Prowse, Christopher Lee, and more give these films great classic acting and a feel of importance that’s hard to duplicate. The English actors felt at home in this genre of film; they play such a powerful counter to the heavy makeup that the “monsters” have on. If you love the classic monsters that originated the horror genre, you’ll love both of these films. Of course, the film's display aspect is an excellent addition to any collection!
