INVADERS FROM PROXIMA B takes off with a dynamic start, featuring a script that blends wit and charm crafted by Roberts, who also directed and stars. Known for making the most out of limited resources, this film paints an explosion of imaginative storytelling with the tools available on a tight budget. The film melds family dynamics with science fiction, although the plot does encounter some snarls as it unfolds. Yet, the narrative remains appealing and exciting, peppered with humor that reaches a broad audience. I would have liked to have seen more subtle adult jokes, but as a whole, the film does admirably create a family comedy that all would enjoy.

Roberts' roles as writer and director and Chuck's voice infuse the film with a heartwarming and engaging quality. He brings Chuck to life with a specific compassion, which makes the character resonate with viewers. Complementing Roberts' portrayal are the performances by Mike C. Nelson, Richard Riehle, Jeremiah Birkett, and Sarah Lassez, each contributing to the film's experience through their varied acting experiences.

A key highlight of INVADERS FROM PROXIMA B is how effortlessly it integrates lighthearted moments within the framework of space-age sci-fi.
