RAVING REVIEW: I don’t know that this will ultimately be for everyone, but if you can become invested in what's going on and follow along, the payoff is well worth the journey!

I knew lead Victoria Cartagena, who plays Christina from the TV series GOTHAM (a take on the young Bruce Wayne before becoming Batman.) So it was interesting to see this character far different from that role and watch as Cartegena blossomed into a different person. I wasn’t familiar with Cartagena’s co-lead Sol Miranda, but she gave quite an impressive performance.

I would be curious to see some of director Daniel Poliner’s other films; this was a unique experience; the story was about a mother and daughter and their battles to overcome and come together. It was interesting to try and piece together what had happened and what I felt would happen as the film went on. At times, the film's narrative could be hard to follow but never out of reach.

I would’ve liked to have seen a little more focus on the relationship in the past and how it evolved as the film went along. While there was a lot of emphasis on the events, it would’ve been interesting to see more of those changes during the different points of the story.

This is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a film that will challenge you. You will be asked to come to conclusions without having all the pieces; it will also have you looking at things in a different light. Sometimes the answers to the questions are in front of you, but you aren’t looking at the right place. The bonds and definition of family are also debated when push comes to shove ultimately.
