RAVING REVIEW: Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment presents JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS – PART ONE, taking a step and bringing one of the most iconic comic book stories to life, redefining the legendary 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' narrative from DC's legendary run. This film continues the DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU) run that rivals most live-action and animated comic stories. Viewers are whisked away on a multiverse odyssey, where iconic heroes leap off the page into this on-screen universe, thanks to a superb voice cast ensemble and gorgeous animation.

The film is a visual extravaganza and a return to form for DC’s stellar run, a testament to the combined forces of Warner Bros. Animation, DC, and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. It's more than just some beautiful eye candy; it's a gateway into a realm where the universe's destiny is on the edge of destruction. The narrative structure is where the film truly sets itself apart, offering a story within a story. While I haven’t read all the comic storylines, I feel this provides an authentic adaptation of the source material.

The Flash, voiced by Matt Bomer, is at the story's heart. The film's story structure is non-linear and as complex as its source material, creating an intriguing and rich story. Each character and plot twist is a piece that fits into a broader, intricate storyline. The film offers a complex story that can occasionally be hard to follow but gives a satisfying narrative.

The voice cast is a treasure trove of talent. Darren Criss brings Superman to life, Jensen Ackles infuses Batman with dark, brooding depth, and Stana Katic's Wonder Woman is a force to be reckoned with. Yet, Bomer's portrayal of The Flash steals the show, bringing a relatable humanity to the vast scale of the narrative. His interactions with Ashleigh LaThrop's Iris West are poignant; I hope to see a deeper exploration of their relationship in the second and third parts of the trilogy.

As a pivotal piece of the more extensive DCAMU, JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS – PART ONE is audacious and innovative. It ties back to previous films in the series and expands the universe at the same time, bringing in characters from the wider DC world. This film is a treat for seasoned DC fans, packed with rich narratives and complex character interplay. Meanwhile, newcomers to the franchise might initially grapple with the story's cosmic intricacies but will find it a rewarding experience.

The film balances its reverence for the comic book roots with a bold new direction. It smartly adapts and refines some comic elements, paying tribute to the original story while creating a distinct cinematic journey. Director Jeff Wamester navigates the complexities of animation and storytelling with finesse, delivering a film that sets a high standard for the trilogy. The film juggles various narrative elements, signaling an exciting future for the subsequent chapters.

In conclusion, JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS – PART ONE is an ambitious opening to a promising trilogy. It establishes a solid groundwork for what's to come in the DCAMU franchise. The film excels with its strong writing and captivating performances. Suitable for longtime fans and newcomers alike, it offers a unique perspective on a classic tale and promises a profoundly engaging journey through the DC Multiverse.
