A story that makes you question everything you know about the world’s problems around us. A tale of champions that put their hearts and souls into solving these problems with their all. “Whether it's a solar-powered car built from recycled materials to fight air pollution or a line of cleaning products made from food waste by someone with no chemistry background to fight waste management.”
This worldwide documentary shows just what humans can do when they want to achieve something and make a difference. While the film isn’t filled with “celebrities,” it is filled with people deserving of the title. Charu Monga (Pithoragarh, India), Emmanuel Alie-Mansaray (Freetown, Sierra Leone), Jamila Mammadli (Baku, Azerbaijan), Trinh Thi Hong (Da Nang, Vietnam), and an agricultural associain 10 de Agosto Farming Association (Ancolaca, Peru). These people are today's and tomorrow's heroes, making changes that most of us could only hope for.
I thought this was a fascinating idea, and this is the idea of a group of people doing what they can that will ultimately help more than just themselves. Don’t get me wrong, not using plastic straws makes a difference, but these individuals take that thought and bring it to the next level. It is giving a dark future a bright spot, maybe just enough to help everyone on the planet.
I think that it may be the position of the world we’re in, but there’s something hopeful about seeing people do something not for their gain but for the betterment of us all. Seeing the hatred, anger, and carelessness that so many regularly display takes a lot of me, and they feel it’s okay to do so.
Local crews in these regions filmed the stories we get to see, all narrated by Daisy Ridley (STAR WARS.) I truly felt motivated after watching this film, I don’t know what exactly I could do to make a change, but it still feels nice to have a positive outlook.
